Orhan Agcaoglu M.D. was born in 1984, Istanbul. He was graduated from Yeditepe University, School of Medicine with Honor Degree in 2008 and he completed his general surgery residency at Istanbul University, Istanbul School of Medicine in 2014.
In 2011, he worked at Cleveland Clinic, Department of General Surgery, Division of Endocrine Surgery as a Research Fellow for one year. In 2016, he has been to University of Helsinki, Department of Oncoplastic Breast Surgery. In 2018, he has been to Yonsei University - Gangnam Thyroid Center, Korea University Anam Hospital and Seoul National University Hospital - Korea for endoscopic and robotic endocrine surgery training. Moreover, in 2019 he earned the “Jean-Francois Henry Scholarship Award" given by European Association of Endocrine Surgeons. He continued his training as a fellow at Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Gemelli Hospital – Rome, Martin Luther University Hospital – Halle and Oxford University, Churchill Cancer Center – Oxford.
Dr. Agcaoglu has more than 75 publications at international journals receiving more than 1000 citations. After passing the European Association of Endocrine Surgeon’s Board Examination, since May 2018 he has been working as an Examiner at European Board of Endocrine Surgery Qualification.
Dr. Agcaoglu has been working at Koç University Hospital since April 2016.
