Associate Professor Aziz Kaya was born in Istanbul in 1951. After graduating from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1976, he completed his general surgery residency at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. He served as assistant chief of the General Surgery Clinic of Haydarpaşa Numune Hospital in 1992. He has been working in the General Surgery Department of the American Hospital since 1995.
